That you are a Christian, born again and speaking in tongues doesn’t qualify you for Rapture. There are basic facts you need to know about the rapture of the church. It’s not a flight for Christians. Because some Christians will also miss Rapture. So, why would they miss Rapture?
Let’s begin to examine this topic and to give insight on why you have to believe that Jesus is coming soon.
Abraham Believed God
If you read the account of how righteousness was inputted to Abraham, it wasn’t for his good works, neither did he qualify in any other way. James 2:23 KJV
And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
Let me put in a more relevant expression: Abraham believed in God and it was reckoned to him as righteousness, and that made him a friend of God. Can you see that?
The emphasis here is believing. Sometimes we need to clarify on the type of believing. What did abraham believed? Romans 4:18 KJV
Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.the man saw the church of Jesus Christ, and believed that he was going to raise the seed that would produce the church.
Abraham believed the words of God concerning him. He believed that what God said about him is true and he had expectation of its fulfillment in his life,
Noah Believed God For The Flood
Now imagine the case of Noah. It’s similar to our expectation of Rapture today. Noah was told of the destruction of the world at his time, and God told him also what he must do to be saved from that destruction.
Noah didn’t look for any more signs to prove what God told him. He believed. And to show his believe, he went about telling others in his days to join him to build the ark that would save them from the destruction that was coming from the flood.
How many were saved in Noah’s day, and what was the reason they were saved? According to the Bible, Noah was the only one found faithful. The rest of the his household were saved because they believed and followed the instructions from Noah.
If anyone else in the world at that time believed Noah, they would have been saved as well. This salvation from the destruction was not based on what anyone did right. It’s only by believing in the salvation that has been brought to them.
It’s To Him That Believes
For anyone to believe in Rapture is to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Believing is not only that you know that rapture will happen one day. No, a thousands no. If you must be raptured you must know when.
2 Timothy 4:8 KJV
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
Don’t misunderstand the phrase: that love his appearing. It’s akin to having an expectation. You believe and you are expecting it at a certain time, in preparation for it.
Imagine if you are expecting a visitor this weekend. You won’t need anyone to tell you why, when, how, and what to prepare. You know who’s coming, and you have an idea what is expected of you. That’s what those of us who are expecting the rapture are doing right now. It’s to prepare for Rapture.
Let me end it here with the very words of Jesus in the book of Revelation 3:20 KJV
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
And finally, let me leave you with the words of Apostle Peter in 2 Peter 3:2-4 KJV
That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour: Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
The time to prepare for the rapture is now.
